You'll join the connectivity team at Skydio, the world leader in autonomous flight, and work on customizing WiFi and cellular links for autonomous drones. You'll dig into low-level firmware and write software to extend range and boost reliability in challenging environments. This role offers the chance to redefine wireless protocols for cutting-edge drone systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement mesh drone communication protocols
• Develop and optimize wireless firmware across WLAN, LTE, and 5G
• Implement system-level algorithms to meet performance KPIs
• Diagnose and resolve complex multi-layer issues

📋 Requirements

• Strong understanding of WLAN or cellular protocols including OFDMA
• Proficient in firmware development with wireless communication systems background
• Well-versed in C++, C, and Python
• Strong software engineering skills in wireless feature design and tuning

• Experience with mesh networking
• Scheduled network operations knowledge
