💼 About This Role

You'll own and advance the Bluetooth transport layer that powers Ditto's distributed data platform. Your work will directly impact millions of data sync operations across customer systems, enabling reliable peer-to-peer communication even when devices are completely offline. You'll tackle the inherent challenges of Bluetooth connectivity and build elegant, resilient solutions that make peer-to-peer sync feel magical.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement BLE solutions in C++/C/Kotlin for iOS and Android
• Implement new Bluetooth profiles and optimize advertising and scanning
• Build error handling and recovery mechanisms for unreliable connections
• Develop Python-based automated testing frameworks for Bluetooth performance

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 3-4 years focused on Bluetooth development
• Deep expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols and the Core Specification
• Strong proficiency in C++/C and mobile development in Kotlin or Swift/Objective-C

✨ Nice to Have

• Production experience with Rust
• Experience with Bluetooth Mesh or mesh networking protocols
• Background in distributed systems or peer-to-peer networking
