You'll join the Applied Performance Group to bridge engineering and sales on challenging customer performance issues. You'll define and execute competitive benchmarks to guide product direction. This role offers direct impact on Snowflake's cloud data platform and bottom line.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define, automate, and publish competitive benchmarks
• Analyze query workloads and profile performance
• Partner with engineering teams to address performance gaps
• Collaborate with Product Management on roadmap improvements

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in database, data warehouse, or data engineering roles
• Deep expertise in SQL performance analysis
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with distributed data processing technologies (Spark, Databricks, etc.)
• Software development in C/C++ or Scala
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies (PyTorch, etc.)
