Description

You'll design, build, and operate backend systems with scalable data persistence, partnering with service teams to optimize database design and performance. You'll contribute to automation, self-service tooling, and observability for production datastores, and help shape multi-regional data architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years software engineering experience building production backend systems
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) including schema design and query optimization
• Experience with NoSQL datastores (DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or Memcache)
• Experience operating services in cloud environments (preferably AWS)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend systems with scalable data persistence
• Partner with service teams to improve database design, query performance, and data modeling
• Contribute to automation using Terraform and Backstage
• Build self-service tooling for databases and caching systems
• Work on observability, performance insights, and autoscaling strategies
