Description

As an Operations Engineer at SpaceX, you will drive the transformation and industrialization of Thermal Hardware manufacturing to high volume. You'll work on the shop floor to identify constraints, streamline value streams, and implement lean methodologies to improve productivity, reduce lead time, and lower costs. Partnering with internal plant leadership, you'll foster a continuous improvement culture and track key performance indicators to measure impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or other engineering discipline
• 2+ years experience as industrial/process/manufacturing engineer in manufacturing
• Ability to influence without authority
• 4+ years lean manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau/PowerBI

Responsibilities

• Drive lean transformation and industrialization of high-volume manufacturing
• Improve labor efficiency, utilization, and capacity by reducing cycle time and waste
• Design and optimize site layouts for production and material flow
• Implement Kanban, pull systems, 5S, and materials replenishment
• Lead process improvement projects using data analysis and value stream mapping
