You'll cover the conservative movement, the Republican Party, and right-wing media for HuffPost, breaking news and building sources on the American right. You'll write sharp news stories on deadline and informative features, getting inside the minds of decision-makers and opinion-shapers. This role offers a visible platform at a major news organization with a union.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Break important news on the conservative movement
• Write buzzy, deeply reported stories on political topics
• Appear on TV, radio, podcasts and social media to promote work
• Travel extensively to cover elections

📋 Requirements

• At least 5 years of political reporting experience
• Extensive knowledge of American conservatism and key figures
• Deep sourcing in national politics
• Ability to write cleanly on deadline

• Track record of getting scoops
• Based in Washington D.C. or New York
