Description

You will own the design and success of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies for SpaceX's Raptor engine, working on components that must be reliable in extreme environments. You'll partner with suppliers, customers, and test teams, and influence vehicle architecture for Starship, enabling multi-planetary life.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics
• 1+ years experience in mechanical systems design and analysis
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends
• 10% travel for hardware testing and launch operations

Responsibilities

• Generate and improve CAD, drawings, analysis, and risk assessments for vehicle reliability
• Lead root cause investigations in development and production, implementing corrective actions
• Develop manufacturable, highly reliable flow control devices
• Implement component testing and checkouts across multiple sites
• Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, test, and flight teams to achieve high reliability and rate
