Description
You will join the Assembly Maintenance Team to develop, debug, and optimize PLC programs, integrate robotic systems, and ensure seamless automation of manufacturing cells. Your work will minimize downtime and maximize productivity through simulation, troubleshooting, and documentation, supporting Scout Motors' mission to revolutionize electric trucks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Maintenance with stable production processes expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of integrating controls systems
- Ability to understand mechanical assemblies, complex stations, and automated equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and optimize PLC programs using industry-standard languages
- Integrate robotic systems with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and sensors
- Use simulation and offline programming tools to model PLC changes and optimize cycle times
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose and resolve issues with software, sensors, and peripheral equipment
- Implement safety protocols including risk assessments, interlocks, and safety-rated software functions
