You'll lead the aerodynamics team at Zipline, designing and testing autonomous aircraft from concept to production. Your core impact is enabling global drone delivery at scale by shaping the aerodynamic design of all wetted surfaces. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead conceptual design for new vehicles and hardware revisions.
• Build high-quality aerodynamics plant models validated through testing.
• Design external and internal wetted surfaces using advanced surfacing.
• Develop propeller designs balancing low noise and aerodynamic efficiency.

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience in aerodynamic design.
• Proven people leadership or readiness to own a small team.
• Experience with CFD packages like Fluent, Star-CCM+, or openFOAM.
• Hands-on experimental aerodynamics including wind tunnel testing.

• Expertise in generative design of 3D aerodynamic objects.
• Proficiency with low/mid-fidelity tools like XFOIL or OpenVSP.
• Background in aeroacoustics and propeller theory.
