Description

As the Lead Production Machinist on the Ultra Precision Machining team, you will lead a team of machinists and quality specialists, operate multi-axis CNC machines, perform precision inspections, and drive continuous improvement of micron-level tolerance machined parts for the Starlink program. You'll use world-class equipment and collaborate with engineers to push the boundaries of machining.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 5+ years experience with g-code, setup, operation or programming of CNC mills/lathes
• 3+ years working in production machining cells
• Ability to work 2nd shift (4:00 PM to 2:30 AM), overtime, and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Production Machinists and Quality Specialists on 2nd shift
• Guide team with best practices and cross-train in CNC, inspection, and test operations
• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines
• Perform CMM precision inspections and VNA testing, recommend corrective actions
• Communicate technical feedback to leadership and engineering
