💼 About This Role

You'll lead the architecture and design of IT infrastructure for Telesat Lightspeed LEO network, spanning datacentres and cloud environments. You'll own the overall infrastructure design, ensuring scalability and security while managing cost estimates and stakeholder engagement. This role offers the chance to shape a revolutionary satellite network scheduled for 2027.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Establish hardware standards and vendor models across datacentres
• Work with stakeholders to forecast resource growth and prepare cost estimates
• Document overall hardware design and Basic Infrastructure Services (BIS)
• Collaborate with architects to develop a secure, available design for Lightspeed

📋 Requirements

• At least 7 years in datacentre environments including servers, storage, networking
• At least 5 years building on-premise secure hardware clusters (network, servers, storage)
• At least 5 years designing and managing enterprise networks including switches and firewalls
• Proven experience deploying and operating Cloud-based infrastructure

• Familiarity with Kubernetes deployments
• Familiarity with SRE concepts
