Description
In this role, you will inspect roads, bridges, drainage structures, utilities, and other public infrastructure to ensure compliance with plans and safety standards. You'll collaborate with contractors, municipalities, and engineers to identify issues early and report findings.
Requirements
- 0-12+ years of construction or related field experience depending on level
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and people skills
- Proficiency in PDF, Microsoft Office, and email software
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications (UDOT and/or APWA)
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspection and monitoring of construction activities
- Document findings and report compliance with approved plans and specifications
- Ensure quality control and safety compliance on job sites
- Collaborate with contractors, municipalities, project managers, and engineers
- Mentor and guide other inspectors as needed
