💼 About This Role

You'll manage PostgreSQL infrastructure on AWS RDS and Aurora, tuning performance and assisting development teams. Your work will ensure scalable, efficient data solutions for our human risk management platform. This role combines deep database expertise with strong developer collaboration.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Administer and optimize PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS and Aurora.
• Perform backup validation, replication checks, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL and database objects.
• Set up performance metrics and alerts using AWS CloudWatch.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on PostgreSQL in production.
• Experience with Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL provisioning and failover.
• Proficiency in SQL tuning and query plan analysis.
• Experience with CI/CD for database changes (e.g., GitHub Actions).

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS Lambda and S3 integration.
• Knowledge of PL/pgSQL and partitioning.
• Familiarity with pg_stat_statements monitoring.
