Description

You will own the development, production, and operation of the Raptor engine ignition system and transient sequences, driving hardware design and flight operations for the most advanced full-flow staged combustion engine. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful startup, mainstage, and shutdown, and enable high launch cadence through automated data analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years experience with engineering programming and data review tools (Python, MATLAB, Winplot)
• 1+ years experience with rocket or jet engine hardware or high-pressure fluid systems

Responsibilities

• Own design, analysis, development, sequencing, and flight operations for Raptor ignition and transients
• Own hardware design and requirements, delivery at target throughput, and reliable engine operation from startup to shutdown
• Coordinate with peers across disciplines to achieve goals and assign responsibilities
• Identify, organize, and drive hardware and sequence changes for simplification, reliability, and performance
• Develop test plans, review data, troubleshoot, and provide go/no-go calls for flight
