You will gain hands-on experience in a small animal practice, working alongside veterinary professionals to develop your clinical and communication skills while contributing to patient care.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited DVM program
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must carry professional liability insurance (AVMA PLIT free for student members)

Responsibilities

• Gather histories and perform physical examinations under supervision
• Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans
• Scrub in to surgery and assist in medical case management
• Provide wellness care and polish technical skills
• Produce appropriate medical records (SOAPs)
