💼 About This Role

You'll design and scale the AI platform at Gusto, enabling internal teams to build intelligent agents. Your core impact will be owning the full lifecycle from problem framing to production deployment. You'll shape technical standards and mentor engineers across the organization.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable platform services for agent orchestration and RAG pipelines.
• Lead technical strategy and architecture for the AI platform.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to unblock product teams' AI needs.
• Stay current with AI/ML research and productionize new techniques.

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years building and deploying end-to-end AI/ML systems.
• Deep expertise in LLMs, NLP, retrieval/RAG, or agent orchestration.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications and agentic workflows.
• Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and cloud platforms.

• Ph.D. or Master's in CS, ML, or related field.
• Experience in platform or infrastructure context.
