💼 About This Role

You'll build and evolve the Skydio Simulator, a high-fidelity digital twin used by autonomy engineers and customers. You'll work deep in the simulator stack, from physics to sensor simulation, ensuring realism and performance. This role offers a chance to shape the technical direction of a cutting-edge autonomous flight platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement core simulator architecture in C++ and Python
• Improve physics models for vehicle motion and environment interaction
• Build high-fidelity sensor simulations (cameras, IMUs, etc.)
• Integrate and validate autonomy stack in simulation

📋 Requirements

• Strong experience with C++ and Python
• Experience building performance-critical, deterministic systems
• Ability to reason about real-time execution and state machines
• Comfort working in a large, evolving codebase

✨ Nice to Have

• Robotics, simulation, game engine, or real-time systems experience
• Physics engines, sensor modeling, or hardware abstraction layers
• Multithreaded or low-latency system design
