💼 About This Role

You'll lead a new organization at Inversion, defining technical products for payload bay architectures and mission design offerings for the Arc reentry vehicle. Your core impact is turning customer needs into scalable, flight-ready interfaces for hypersonic test and defense customers. You'll shape the product roadmap and build the team that makes payload integration seamless.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and own technical roadmap for payload integration and mission design products
• Lead payload bay accommodation strategy and design standard interfaces
• Develop mission design capabilities including trajectory analysis and CONOPS
• Define avionics, software, and data ecosystem for efficient payload integration
• Serve as primary technical voice with customers and support business development

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of applicable aerospace engineering experience
• Deep background in spacecraft, launch vehicles, reentry vehicles, or hypersonics
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams through product development
• Technical depth across mechanical, electrical, software, thermal, GNC, and trajectory domains
