Description
You will design and develop the orchestration engine for Roblox's stateless jobs platform, building custom Kubernetes Operators and Go controllers to automate scheduling, scaling, and recovery across a hybrid-cloud environment. You'll architect multi-region, high-throughput systems that enable seamless workload mobility and empower developers to deploy at scale.
Requirements
- 10+ years building web services with Go or similar language
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals (control plane, reconciliation, scheduling)
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems (scalability, reliability, availability)
- Experience with control-plane or orchestration systems (schedulers, workflow engines)
- Experience with multi-region orchestration, failover, disaster recovery
Responsibilities
- Build the orchestration engine with custom Kubernetes Operators and Go controllers
- Architect hybrid-cloud mobility for seamless workload movement and failover
- Extend the Kubernetes control plane with CRDs and reconciliation loops
- Empower developer velocity with high-level platform abstractions and automation
