💼 About This Role

You'll lead security strategy across the Stellar ecosystem and own security outcomes for Foundation-developed systems, infrastructure, and treasury. This role focuses on raising the practical security baseline for decentralized financial ecosystem participants. Success means reducing real-world risk and financial loss through clear standards and coordination.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and lead security strategy across the Stellar ecosystem and Foundation systems.
• Publish actionable guidance and security expectations for ecosystem participants.
• Build coordination mechanisms for shared risks and incident response.
• Lead secure development efforts including threat modeling and vulnerability management.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in security with senior leadership roles.
• 5+ years leading security programs or functions with meaningful scope.
• Deep experience in product and application security in production environments.
• Strong familiarity with blockchain and decentralized system security.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with secure development frameworks such as NIST SSDF.
• Familiarity with Web3 security frameworks such as OWASP SCSVS or SEAL.
• Experience in financial infrastructure, payments, or custody.
