You will support the credit risk operations team in underwriting small to mid-size merchants, assessing financial statements and business models. This role directly impacts Stripe's bottom line by enabling smart risk decisions for new and growing businesses.

Requirements

• 1+ years of commercial credit underwriting or financial risk modeling
• Ability to transform business data into a narrative on credit risks
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Process-oriented mindset with ability to collaborate cross-team

Responsibilities

• Work with merchants to evaluate business models and financial statements
• Manage Stripe's portfolio by understanding risk across industries and geographies
• Identify risks of complex business models and enforce loss mitigation actions
• Utilize analytics to optimize strategies across Stripe's portfolio
• Identify risk factors, trends, and recommend process improvements
