๐ผ About This Role
You'll shape quality strategy across complex aerospace programs. You'll own strategic quality planning, lead risk mitigation using APQP/PPAP, drive process stability with statistical rigor, and mentor junior engineers. This role offers a chance to influence design for manufacturability and inspection at a fast-moving aerospace startup.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Develop Quality Management Plans for new aerospace programs
- Lead APQP and PPAP activities across programs and suppliers
- Partner with design engineering to define Critical-to-Quality features
- Conduct cross-functional investigations using 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Why
๐ Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or defense
- Expert knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145
- Advanced proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR
โจ Nice to Have
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
