💼 About This Role

You'll design and evolve Sword's streaming lakehouse, ensuring reliable, low-latency data movement across the organization. Your work will power AI-driven healthcare and self-service data interfaces that serve both humans and agents. You'll shape the architecture of a platform that impacts millions of members globally.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and evolve Sword's streaming lakehouse foundation.
• Build and operate distributed streaming pipelines.
• Own durable workflows coordinating complex data movement.
• Shape the platform's API surface for self-service consumption.

📋 Requirements

• Proven experience designing and operating data platforms at scale in production.
• Hands-on experience with a modern lakehouse table format, Iceberg strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with a distributed processing engine, Flink strongly preferred.
• Production experience building and operating APIs (REST or gRPC) at scale.

✨ Nice to Have

• Deeper familiarity with open/REST catalogs (Polaris, Nessie, Unity).
• Observability stack fluency (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Prior work on agentic or AI-facing API surfaces.
