💼 About This Role

You'll design, fabricate, and characterize advanced semiconductor devices in a hands-on cleanroom environment, collaborating closely with teammates to optimize materials integration for high-power and RF applications. Your work directly supports Diamond Foundry's mission to cool the world's hottest chips with diamond wafers.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Design semiconductor materials and device structures for fabrication feasibility.
  • Collaborate on cleanroom fabrication of devices and test structures.
  • Drive design-fabrication-characterization iteration cycles based on experimental results.
  • Execute electrical characterization to understand carrier dynamics.
  • Analyze device measurement data to identify performance-limiting mechanisms.

📋 Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Materials Science, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with 4+ years experience.
  • Hands-on semiconductor microfabrication including layout (L-Edit, KLayout) and cleanroom ownership.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics including transport and reliability.
  • Strong expertise in device characterization and experimental data analysis.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with device modeling or simulation (TCAD, COMSOL, ANSYS).
  • Proactive, self-directed approach in a collaborative team environment.

🚩 Heads Up

  • Mentions 4+ years but title is 'Principal' which typically requires 10+ years.
