Description

In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and commission VFD systems in the field for clients in the NY/NJ area. You will respond to breakdowns, perform repairs and preventative maintenance, and advise on equipment upgrades, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands on experience with multiple manufacturers of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from heights/a ladder.
  • Strong working knowledge of three phase motors and control circuits.
  • Can read and interpret documents such as electrical and mechanical drawings, safety rules, operations manual, and written directions including PID's, fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Possess installation and troubleshooting skills for heating and cooling systems.
  • OSHA 30 SST.
  • Ability to prepare inspection and appraisal reports.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Mechanical Assembly and Troubleshooting Skills.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Experience programming, calibrating, and configuring 4-20 MA 0-10 Vdc devices.
  • Exceptional ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Prior experience with gas detection systems, DriSteem Humidifiers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, start-up, commission and verify proper functionality of multiple brands of VFD’s.
  • Work with management to run an efficient service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize callbacks.
  • Keep management and customer informed of job progress and issues.
  • Provide valid options for additional work and service based on established protocols.
  • Prioritize following safety procedures and maintain a constant awareness of personal safety and the safety of others.
