๐Ÿ’ผ About This Role

You'll define active EO/IR system architectures and perform radiometric performance modeling for spaceborne sensors. You'll validate models against laboratory and real-world data, and leverage analyses to inform system-level trades. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge defense technology in a fast-paced interdisciplinary team.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Define system architectures via detailed trade studies and analyses.
  • Adapt or derive physics-based models of sensor system performance.
  • Take ownership over development of prototype sensor systems in lab.
  • Support laboratory-based and field-based experiments and demonstrations.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Model development and validation in remote sensing relevant domains.
  • Decompose complex systems into functional parts with clear interfaces and requirements.
  • Experience in system design and development from concept through test and delivery.
  • Strong laboratory skills and familiarity with opto-electrical test equipment.

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of advanced sensing systems and platforms.
  • Experience with laser systems including opto-mechanical scanning.
  • Experience with signature/scenario modeling software (MODTRAN, SPIRITS, AFSIM).
