Description

You will be responsible for the design, fabrication, operation, and maintenance of the launch pad and support facilities for Terran R. This includes designing launch pad propellant and gas infrastructure, supervising construction activation, and solving technically challenging problems across disciplines. You'll work at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, offering unmatched exposure and responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of combined engineering experience
  • Experience in thermal and fluid analyses
  • General experience with fluid components such as valves, regulators, and instrumentation
  • Able to work in high pressure environments and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence and ability to communicate highly effectively in verbal/written form with internal and external customers
  • Must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Responsibilities

  • Design launch pad propellant and gas infrastructure, including fluid system design, modeling, pipe stress analysis, fabrication drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, component lists, and detailed work instructions
  • Supervise the construction activation commissioning, and initial operations of these facilities
  • Solve technically challenging problems across a variety of disciplines under varying programmatic pressures
