Description

You will maintain and troubleshoot digital fabrication equipment (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers), support member prototyping, and ensure a safe, high-performing fabrication environment. This hands-on role is critical to helping startups and engineers turn hardware ideas into physical reality.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with digital fabrication tools (3D printing, laser cutting, CNC routing)
• 3+ years maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Fusion360, Solidworks, Onshape, Rhino)
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for file preparation
• Experience with electronics shop tools and processes (test equipment, PCB fabrication, soldering)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot FDM/SLA/SLS 3D printers, CO2 laser cutter, CNC router, and electronics lab equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and track repairs/consumables
• Provide fabrication guidance: 3D printing post-processing, laser cutting file prep, CNC CAM workflows, electronics assembly
• Lead onboarding trainings and reinforce safe shop practices
• Support digital fabrication workflow: prepare files (DXF, STL, STEP), understand material behavior, inspect components
