Description

You will test, calibrate, and troubleshoot a variety of test and measurement instruments at customer sites in the Charlotte area, ensuring accuracy and reliability. This role requires frequent travel and offers opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

• Level II and above: at least two years of experience in a related field required
• Electronics technician experience strongly preferred
• Electrical, electronic, or mechanical calibration experience as well as military PMEL, METCAL, or TMDE training preferred
• Level II and above: technical knowledge of electronic principles
• Experience using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel to customers’ locations throughout the United States for up to one week at a time
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background security check
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the year, including frequent overnight, out-of-state travel Monday through Friday, and rare weekend travel

Responsibilities

• Plan the sequence of testing and calibration procedures
• Calibrate, adjust, and troubleshoot problems with customers’ equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pressure, torque, environmental, dimensional, and radio frequency instrumentation
• Create, update, and maintain data sheets for test equipment
• Maintain customer, vendor, and equipment databases
• Manage customer relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive the timely turnaround of equipment
