Description

You will perform destructive and non-destructive failure analysis on PCBA and piece parts to support production, engineering, and quality assurance. Your work ensures hardware reliability across development, qualification, and flight phases, directly contributing to SpaceX's mission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 5+ years experience in a component/PCBA failure analysis laboratory
  • Experience with EEE piece parts and components
  • Experience with non-destructive analysis techniques (X-Ray, CT scan, SEM, Visual Inspection)
  • Experience with destructive analysis techniques (cross section, parallel lapping, dye and pry, chemical decapsulation)

Responsibilities

  • Support destructive and non-destructive analyses during development and pre-production phases of hardware life-cycles
  • Assist with analyses into piece part failures and non-conforming material
  • Support engineering in analysis of rework and recovery efforts on non-conforming hardware
  • Contribute to First Article Inspection Reports
  • Provide targeted surge support for critical analyses or qualification test efforts
