Training Manager, Nuclear Operations

Description
In this role, you will establish and lead training programs for uranium enrichment facility operations, maintenance, engineering, and regulatory areas. You'll collaborate with stakeholders and external providers to design, implement, and evaluate training, ensuring compliance with DOE, NRC, and OSHA requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in operations or technical training in nuclear or highly regulated industrial settings.
- Expert knowledge and application of Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodologies.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance for nuclear or highly regulated facilities.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and learning management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and measure training effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee technical training policies for operations, maintenance, radiological handling, nuclear safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Plan and manage training material development, approval, delivery, and revisions.
- Hire and manage a team of trainers, using contract resources as needed during startup.
- Consult with departments on training impacts of process and facility changes.
- Interact with regulatory authorities (DOE, NRC, OSHA) to support inspections.
- Oversee training schedules, enrollment, and record-keeping for compliance.
- Assess organizational training needs and evaluate effectiveness via metrics and audits.
- Collaborate with leaders to identify skill gaps and maintain learning management systems.
- Promote nuclear safety culture and human performance improvement.
- Manage training budgets and resources.
