💼 About This Role

You'll validate the functional reliability and performance of Verkada's connected camera fleet across the entire hardware-to-cloud ecosystem. You'll execute a hybrid validation strategy combining system-level exploratory testing with automated test script development in a hands-on lab environment. This role offers direct impact on enterprise security products used by over 30,000 organizations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Execute structured system validation test plans for release candidates
• Write and maintain automated test scripts in Python for HIL infrastructure
• Triage and reproduce escalated field bugs in the lab
• Monitor device telemetry during release candidate testing

📋 Requirements

• 2–4+ years of System Test experience on embedded/IoT devices
• Solid scripting skills in Python
• Comfortable navigating Embedded Linux environments via CLI
• Practical understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, PoE)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience testing video streaming products or video protocols (RTSP, WebRTC)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Basic understanding of camera hardware concepts (image sensors, ISP)
