💼 About This Role
You'll build and lead Decagon's pre-sales solutions engineering function, driving adoption of our AI-native conversational platform across complex enterprises. As a senior technical leader, you'll hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while engaging directly with key prospects. You'll partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to align technical capabilities with customer outcomes and establish scalable processes for pre-sales excellence.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Hire, mentor, and manage a team of Solutions Engineers
- Establish best practices for pre-sales solutioning and proof-of-concepts
- Partner with Sales leadership on go-to-market strategies
- Engage with enterprise prospects on discovery and solution design
📋 Requirements
- 7+ years in pre-sales technical roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer)
- 3+ years managing or leading pre-sales/solutions engineering teams
- Proven success with large enterprise customers and complex buying cycles
- Strong technical proficiency in enterprise AI deployments and API integrations
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience in AI/Generative AI pre-sales engineering
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture design and developer tooling
- Background in software engineering or systems engineering
