Description

You will design and implement GNC software and hardware for spacecraft systems, develop autonomous operations capabilities, validate systems through ground and on-orbit testing, and collaborate across teams to meet mission objectives. This role directly supports funded programs to field resilient, software-defined spacecraft for defense applications.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Aerospace, Dynamics and Controls, Computer Science or related field
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, Go, and/or Linux Systems
• Experience with orbital mechanics and resident space object tracking capabilities
• Familiarity with rendezvous proximity operations and docking, orbital mechanics, and spacecraft attitude determination and controls
• Strong knowledge of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and control theory

Responsibilities

• Work spacecraft GNC software and hardware subsystems for various orbital regimes
• Develop software-defined approaches to autonomous spacecraft operations with maneuvering capabilities
• Develop test plans and procedures to validate GNC system during ground checkout, on-orbit commissioning and operations
• Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality
• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products
