💼 About This Role

You'll join Matic's Platform team pre-launch, developing core software for a home robotics product that uses spatial AI and on-device neural networks. You'll work on low-level driver and kernel development up to interacting with perception algorithms with high performance expectations. This role offers huge impact in a tight-knit, collaborative startup environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop core device systems software from the ground up.
• Build robust software stack interacting with firmware, motors, sensors.
• Perform root cause analysis of system crashes and hardware failures.
• Identify bugs & bottlenecks to improve system performance.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong familiarity with userspace Linux programming and kernel internals.
• Deep experience in multi-threaded C.
• Knowledge of common communication protocols (e.g., USB, RS232, TCP/IP).

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with C or C++ microcontroller firmware.
• Familiarity with a scripting language like Shell or Python.
• Eagerness to learn Rust.
