💼 About This Role

You'll join Redwood Materials' EPC team to design mechanical and plumbing systems for industrial recycling facilities. Your work will directly enable a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries. This role offers the chance to own engineering deliverables from concept through construction.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as Mechanical Engineer of Record for hazardous and clean spaces.
• Design mechanical/plumbing systems including HVAC, water, and abatement.
• Review conceptual designs and identify technical and financial risks.
• Participate in construction and commissioning as technical point of contact.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with NCEES record.
• 7+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing/fire protection design.
• Expert familiarity with ICC, NFPA, SMACNA, ACGIH, and ASHRAE codes.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with abatement systems and heat exchangers.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of engineering software like Pipe-Flo, Caesar II, or Carrier HAP.
