You'll own the billing platform that powers Computer, Perplexity's agentic AI product. Your work will enable product teams to ship new SKUs and run pricing experiments seamlessly, directly impacting revenue for millions of users. You'll build and operate usage-based billing systems that meter agent actions in real-time, ensuring reliability and observability at scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build subscription, invoicing, and usage-based billing systems.
• Lead features end-to-end from problem definition to launch.
• Operate billing APIs that enable product teams to ship new pricing models.
• Partner with Finance, Data Science, and Growth on billing data accuracy.

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Direct experience building or scaling billing or payments systems.
• Deep familiarity with payment processors like Stripe.
• Strong backend engineering skills in Python.

✨ Nice to Have

• 2+ years hands-on with Stripe APIs and SDKs.
• Experience with usage-based or metered billing models.
• Full-stack experience with Next.js/React/TypeScript.
