Description

You will own the full design cycle of primary and secondary structures for Terran R, from conceptualization through manufacturing and test. Collaborating across teams, you'll reduce mass, parts, and processes while seeing your work come to life on the factory floor.

Requirements

• 8+ years design engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• Significant experience with CAD packages such as NX, Creo, or Solidworks
• Working knowledge of structural analysis (hand calculation, FEA) and testing
• Fundamental knowledge of structures strength, stability, fatigue, and additive/traditional manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize structural load paths and design complex structures with adjacent system packaging
• Review static/dynamic load inputs, material properties, and structural subsystem requirements
• Analyze and size flight structures for timely design reviews and drawing release
• Develop and support hardware test campaigns including integration, operation, and evaluation
• Support manufacturing process development
