Description

As a Service Technician at SSI, Inc., you will install, start-up, troubleshoot, and repair Variable Frequency Drives in commercial HVAC systems. You will work with high and low voltage electrical systems, travel to client sites, and use electronic measuring tools. This role offers compensation for travel and potential use of a company vehicle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on VFD experience in the field
• Prior experience with VFDs as they apply to AHUs, pump applications, and cooling towers is a plus
• Working knowledge of the HVAC loop, circuitry, and schematics
• Building Management Systems experience / working knowledge
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to work and learn

Responsibilities

• Installing, starting up, troubleshooting, and general service of VFDs
• Knowing proper operation of hand and power tools, running wires, conduit work, and use of electronic measuring tools – multi-meters, amp clamps, and harmonic analyzers
• Traveling to clients
