Description

You will lead the development of backend services for SoFi's next-generation Lending Platform, implementing new capabilities, ensuring code quality, and delivering highly-available, scalable services. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that provide outstanding value to our members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional full-time software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Java, Kotlin, or similar OOP language.
• Experience with public cloud, CI/CD, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, relational and document databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evolution of key platform subsystems.
• Resolve ambiguous design and implementation problems.
• Write clean, maintainable code leveraging solution patterns.
• Create stability through testing, observability, and debugging.
• Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
