You will work across the full Linux stack to optimize Ubuntu for new silicon technologies, including hardware accelerators, AI stacks, and confidential computing, collaborating with a distributed team and silicon partners worldwide.

Requirements

• Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or compelling narrative
• Strong fundamentals in C, C++, and Python
• Experience or interest in Linux distribution packaging
• Understanding of package management and dependency resolution

Responsibilities

• Collaborate proactively within a distributed team
• Foster a software ecosystem with seamless user experience for Ubuntu users
• Evaluate contributions of other engineers to maintain high-quality software standards
• Debug issues on open source code and team-maintained code
• Help customers integrate their apps, build OS images, and optimize applications
