Description

As an Academic Advisor, you will support and guide College Track scholars through their academic journeys, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and individualized plans to successfully matriculate into college. You'll collaborate with the site team, deliver content, facilitate workshops, and host one-on-one advising appointments.

Requirements

• Academic advising experience within a college-access institution
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with students, caregivers, and teachers
• Comfortable navigating Learning Management Systems (e.g., Google Classroom, Coursera) and grade portals (e.g., PowerSchool, Illuminate)
• Passion for youth development and helping students set and achieve academic goals
• Belief in data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with students, providing culturally relevant support and fostering a sense of belonging
• Track and analyze student data to monitor workshop attendance, advising appointments, and academic progress
• Manage a diverse caseload of approximately 120 high school scholars
• Develop targeted, data-driven interventions based on student data
