Description

As an Analog Architect at Lightmatter, you will lead pathfinding and early prototyping of analog and mixed-signal solutions for next-generation optical-engine products, working closely with engineering teams to bring innovations to high-volume production. This role offers the opportunity to build a new kind of computer from the ground up while solving groundbreaking challenges in AI data center infrastructure.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or similar with 5+ years of high-speed analog circuit design in TSMC N3/N5/N7
• Hands-on high-speed SERDES design in 7nm and below
• Strong understanding of layout impact on SERDES performance
• Familiarity with package/PCB impact on SERDES and with UCIe, PAM4
• Proficiency in Cadence virtuoso, Verilog-A, EMX or equivalent for high-speed mixed-signal design

Responsibilities

• Architect high-speed (200Gbaud+) electro-optical interfaces for co-packaged optics solutions
• Design next-gen high-speed DACs, linear drivers and TIAs in latest FinFET nodes
• Collaborate across electronics, photonics, and mechanical engineering teams on circuit blocks, SoCs, debug, and validation
• Collaborate with product team to develop future technology and product roadmap
• Work with test engineers to validate hardware against simulation predictions
