💼 About This Role

You'll design, train, and deploy machine learning models to automate Waymo's HD maps, enabling scale for the Waymo Driver. You'll advance state-of-the-art ML techniques including Vision-Language Models and Generative AI to pioneer new mapping solutions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, train, and deploy ML models for HD map automation.
• Apply Vision-Language Models and Generative AI to mapping.
• Own full model lifecycle from data to production.
• Collaborate with Perception and AI Foundations teams.

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years hands-on ML experience with computer vision/deep learning.
• Proficiency in deep learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX).
• Experience owning problems end-to-end across the systems stack.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

✨ Nice to Have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
• Familiarity with foundation models and model adaptation (few-shot, transfer, domain adaptation).
• Publications in top-tier ML/CV conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV).
