Description

Own the end-to-end financial data journey from engineering systems to the general ledger/ERP, defining the product roadmap for subledger and reporting infrastructure, reconciliation, and controls to enable month-end close and auditability. Partner closely with Accounting, data, and platform teams to build scalable, compliant fintech systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years product management experience owning financial platforms or data products.
• Hands-on accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, and external audits (CPA preferred).
• Working knowledge of financial systems, subledger → GL flows, journal-entry design, SOX controls, external audit processes.
• Technical fluency in data models, ETL/DBT, SQL, and API design.
• Exceptional communicator: translates accounting requirements into technical specs, drives cross-functional consensus.

Responsibilities

• Own financial reporting product roadmap: subledgers, accounting-event interface, journal entries, GL/ERP integrations, reconciliation tooling.
• Define subledger patterns and Accounting–Engineering interface: schemas, API contracts, domain boundaries, migration strategies.
• Translate accounting policy and audit requirements into product specs, posting logic, SOX controls, and engineering requirements.
• Lead reconciliation strategy and automation: vendor evaluations, recon rules, automation for high-volume accounts.
• Drive governance and change management: coordinate cross-functional signoffs, runbooks, and stakeholder training.
