Description

You will manage complex structural projects for CTDOT, local municipalities, and private clients, coordinating design efforts across multiple disciplines. You will oversee technical analysis in areas like load ratings and bridge design, and be responsible for project budgeting, cost control, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• PE License in CT required
• 8+ years of experience related to structural engineering
• Excellent communication, strong written, oral, and client relation skills
• Experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
• Strong organization and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts
• Research local/state regulations as they pertain to projects
• Make presentations before elected officials and advisory boards, attend conferences, and participate in interviews
• Oversee technical analysis within specialist areas such as load ratings, bridge design, and finite element analysis
• Responsible for project management, including cost control, project budget control, and quality assurance/quality control
• Direct and manage the budgeting and execution of projects including supervision of assigned staff and subcontractors
