Description

You will lead the Data Engineering department, owning the full lifecycle of data infrastructure from scalable pipelines and cloud warehousing to governance and observability. You'll balance strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership, partnering with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to deliver a reliable source of truth that empowers decision-making across the company.

Requirements

• 3+ years technical leadership or engineering management experience in fast-paced startup/SaaS
• 5+ years hands-on data engineering with production-grade pipelines and distributed computing
• 5+ years BI, data modeling, and modern cloud data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Engineering department, providing technical roadmap guidance and project direction
• Recruit, mentor, and coach a high-performing engineering team
• Oversee end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Establish data quality standards, automated validations, and observability frameworks
