💼 About This Role

You'll lead the Data Engineering team at Buyagift & Red Letter Days, building and maintaining a scalable data platform to support business analytics and decision-making. You'll combine people leadership with hands-on technical oversight, shaping data strategy and architecture. This role offers the chance to work with modern data tools in a collaborative environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers on the core data platform.
• Set technical direction for data infrastructure, architecture, and modelling.
• Own and evolve scalable, well-governed data models and architecture.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, including event ingestion platform.

📋 Requirements

• Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
• Experience building modern data platforms, ideally using Snowflake.
• Experience with modern ETL tooling and automated data flows.
• Strong understanding of data governance and GDPR compliance.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with C# .NET or Python.
• Experience with dbt and Airflow.
• Knowledge of analytics engineering and ML-driven pipelines.
