💼 About This Role

You'll own the complete optical design lifecycle for quantum computing systems, from concept to fabrication. You'll create custom high-performance lens assemblies and collaborate directly with optics foundries. This role offers the chance to advance state-of-the-art quantum technology at a leading startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and analyze lens assemblies for laser delivery and imaging.
• Perform tolerance and stray light analysis on optical systems.
• Generate optical fabrication drawings per ISO 10110 standards.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure manufacturability of custom optics.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Sciences or Optical Engineering.
• 5-8+ years of optical design experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on optics assembly in a lab.
• Experience with Zemax or equivalent ray-tracing software.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Fourier Optics and telecentric imaging.
• Experience with STOP and stray light analysis.
• Fluency in Onshape or Solidworks 3D CAD.
