Description

You will drive strategic growth by acquiring new enterprise customers and expanding relationships in the DACH region, engaging C-level stakeholders and using proven sales methodologies to manage complex sales cycles. You'll articulate the business value of Aiven's multi-cloud data and AI platform to help enterprises achieve agility, cost efficiency, and faster time-to-market.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of success in enterprise SaaS or cloud infrastructure sales
  • Proven track record of overachievement against multimillion-dollar targets
  • Ability to close complex, consultative deals with long sales cycles
  • Experience engaging senior technical and business leaders
  • Skilled in outcome-based selling (Challenger Sales methodology)
  • Experience with MEDDIC/MEDDPICC or similar sales frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data and technology landscape
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Fluent English and German language proficiency strongly preferred
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial approach; experience in fast-paced startup/scale-up is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business by identifying and winning enterprise logos in the DACH region ( $500M+ revenue)
  • Lead full sales cycle from outreach to closing
  • Expand strategic accounts by uncovering new use cases and upselling additional services
  • Engage C-suite and VP-level stakeholders across technical and business functions
  • Become expert in Aiven's platform and open-source technologies (Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Clickhouse)
  • Rigorously qualify opportunities using MEDDPICC framework
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Solution Architects, Product, and Engineering
  • Stay informed on industry trends in cloud, data infrastructure, and DACH enterprise market
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas and KPIs
